What Our Patients Are Saying
5.0 Rating Based on 400+ Reviews
I have been using Dr Rosen and Dr Schwartz since I first got my MMJ card. The whole process is simple, their site is so user-friendly, these docs are so terrific they call you when you set up the appointments, they answer all the questions you have they don't make you feel rushed and everything gets taken care of so quickly before you know it you got your card! If you ever run into a problem there's always a number with someone that is more than happy to help you navigate through anything you don't understand. Five stars all around and I will continue to use Parkside in the foreseeable future! I recommend it highly.

Getting and Using Your PA MMJ Card
Find answers to common questions about the process of obtaining an MMJ card, recertification, using your card, and more.
How do I get a medical card in PA?
There are three steps to becoming a PA Medical Marijuana patient at Parkside Medicine:
- Create an online profile: Register on the PA Department of Health’s website using a computer and a valid PA state ID or driver’s license. Make sure to save your login details.
- Meet with one of our physicians: Schedule your certification appointment here.
- Pay for your card: After certification, log into your account and pay the $50 state fee. Discounts are available for those in government assistance programs. Your card will be mailed within 1-2 weeks.
Are MMJ products or certification covered by insurance?
Currently, neither the certification nor the products are covered by insurance. We offer the lowest certification fees in the state. Some discounts may apply if you participate in government assistance programs. Many providers also offer promotional deals and discounts, including holiday sales.
What should I expect during my appointment?
You’ll meet with one of our physicians who will discuss your qualifying condition(s) and the symptoms you’re hoping to relieve. Our goal is to understand how treatment can improve your quality of life.
What do I need for my appointment?
Bring your valid PA ID or driver’s license, proof of employment (if you are an industry worker), and pre-payment. If you have any medical records related to your qualifying condition, it’s helpful to bring them. New patients can register here.
Can you recommend how medicinal treatment could help me?
Our physicians and specialists are here to guide you. Email contact@parksidemmj.com for personalized advice. Consultations are also free at local providers.
Can I use my PA MMJ card in other states?
Some states accept PA MMJ cards for discounts, like Nevada and DC, but most allow you to use the card only within Pennsylvania.
What will my PA MMJ card allow me to do?
Your card gives you access to all locations in Pennsylvania, where you can consult with a pharmacist or patient consultant to find the right products and consumption methods for your needs.
How do I know which option to select for Initial Registration on the PA MMJ State website?
If you’re an adult patient who isn’t homebound and can independently visit locations, select “Adult Patient Registration” for your Initial Registration.
What are the steps for registering a caregiver for a homebound patient in need of treatment??
A homebound patient can assign a caregiver after registering with the state. You’ll need the patient’s ID# from their profile in the state’s MMJ system to assign the caregiver. This number is found in the Profile Settings of the patient’s account.
How do I register a minor and assign a caregiver?
For a minor in need of assistance, the process is similar to that for a homebound patient. First, register the minor with the state. Then, assign a caregiver using the patient’s ID# found in their profile settings. Before the minor’s appointment, you’ll need documentation of their qualifying condition, which can be submitted via email to contact@parksidemmj.com. You can view the qualifying conditions here.
Where is my patient card, and how long will it take to arrive?
After your certification and payment are processed, the PA Department of Health will mail your card to the address listed in your profile. It typically takes up to 21 days for your card to arrive.
What should I do if my card is lost or stolen?
You can request a replacement card through your PA DOH profile. A $25 replacement fee is required. Log in here to request your replacement.
How long will it take for my MMJ card to arrive?
After completing your MMJ appointment and state payment, you can expect your card to arrive within 14-21 days. If you want to verify the status of your card or check your address, contact the PA Department of Health’s MMJ Program Helpdesk at 888-733-5595 (7AM-9PM daily).
How can I reset my password if I’m having trouble logging into my state MMJ account?
If you’re having login issues, the state requires annual password resets. Email contact@parksidemmj.com for instructions on resetting your password, or call the PA MMJ Program Helpdesk at 888-733-5595 for a direct reset link.
Do you offer any discounts on Initial or Recertification appointments?
We do not offer discounts on initial or recertification appointments. However, if you receive state benefits, the PA Department of Health will waive the $50 card fee for renewals. For more details, contact the PA MMJ Helpdesk at 888-733-5595.
